Kupla Productions Ltd is a production company founded by science journalist Jari Mäkinen in 1999. The main purpose of the company is to support Mr. Mäkinen with his own productions, but Kupla provides also all kinds of audiovisual and communication services for diverse range of customers. The HQ is located in Finland, but some activities take place in the Netherlands.

Science journalist Jari Mäkinen has specialised in space, flying and especially in spaceflight. He works nowadays at ESTEC, European Space Agency's space centre in the Netherlands, but he goes on with contributing short items for the Science Programs of the Finnish Broadcasting Company YLE, and articles for Tekniikan Maailma, Tähdet ja Avaruus and Tiede magazines.
